Team
The stakeholders at IO Global recognized a pivotal opportunity to enhance the buyer-seller experience by integrating AI technology. Their vision was to create a more efficient and targeted approach for connecting buyers and sellers with the most appropriate networks and relevant search results from our site. This integration aimed to curate accurate and pertinent information, enabling both parties to negotiate and finalize deals that are beneficial for everyone involved.
Summary
The primary objective was to leverage AI to:
o Connect buyers and sellers with the most suitable networks.
o Provide relevant and precise search results by organizing information from various sections of our site, including product listings, blogs, and other resources.
o Facilitate the creation of specific deals that ensure mutually beneficial outcomes.
Problem
Buyers and sellers want relevant information that answer their queries. However, we need to figure out what were the possible queries and discuss what information would need to be presented and how. By considering various user journeys, we were able to identify a few key search result queries.
Research
For the IO Global Search, our vision was to create a search engine that used our Magento front end site as its database. The database contained from multiple sellers who have written product descriptions and listings as well as blog posts that provided key information.
Vision
o Stakeholders wanted to help buyers and sellers to promote their businesses and products.
o Also, they wanted to provide different methods for buyers and sellers to connect and make deals based on price or quantities.
After identifying key search results, we created different cards for different sections that would appear in different search results such as product search results, factory search results, and buyer search results.
Exploration & Iteration
We designed 3 distinct search result pages with various cards that we identified as relevant to the users based on their queries. These included the product search results, factory search results, and buyer search results. We also included group buy and price inquiry cards for the home page feed.
Solution
Results
We are currently still developing and testing.
By discussing and mapping the various user journeys, we were able to identify opportunities to present relevant information and cards to users based on their search queries.
